I decided I needed a change. I was working 2 full-time jobs and never having any time for my son. So, I decided to go back to school. This was the time for change and so I also decided to go back to church. I met a guy who I started dating, who also introduced me to my roommate. Her roommate was moving and I needed to get out of my parents house. I didn't want to wait, so we decided to have me move into her apartment while we looked for a 2 bedroom.  There was a park right up the street that I would take Nikki to almost every day. I noticed these two guys up there alot playing frisbee and ball with a dog, a yellow lab to be exact. Come on, who wouldn't notice, hot guy, dark shades, hat backwards and sweating under the sun??  I probably would have made my move but what would he want with a woman and a kid? Besides he is so much hotter then me! And so I let him go..

It was a month later when we moved out of the hot guy's apartment complex and into our new 2 bedroom across the street from the DMV. We spend about a year there and acquired two more roommates within that time. All the boyfriends were Navy (Navy,huh?? like Pat's dad?) which made for a very active house. We finally left and followed him to some hole in the wall joint in San Diego. I remember a bunch of people there as they had quite a following. I was sitting further back on a type of ledge where I had a great view. I remember him sitting behind his drum set and just getting lost in the music. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He seemed so familiar like I knew him, but I knew I never met him before. (It would also be years before I realized this was "hot giy). All I know is I just felt so drawn to him and I wanted him to notice me to. My attention was diverted at one point to the singer as he started dropping to the ground. I thought he was having a seizure but he kept on singing. (I'm pretty sure he intercepted the energy I was sending to Pat. The amount of energy I was sending out..yeah,lol) Soon after, things went back to normal and my attention was directed right back to him.
